The Drake Rayden Foundation fights for better treatment for NKH through raising funds and encouraging research. We also want to be a pillar of support for the families directly affected by NKH.
This is Lori Harris, and her family lives in California. She has two precious children, Brooklyn and Parker. Parker, like Drake, suffers from the disease NKH. The family lost everything a few weeks back from a house fire. We knew that California was a ways away from South Carolina, but we wanted to do something to help. We reached out to a contact we have for medical supplies and came up with a plan. The DRF sent two boxes of medical supplies, #HeisEnough t-shirts for the whole family, and our children packed a cross they had colored for the family. Knowing how important medically supplies are for medically complex children, we knew this was a true need while insurance was sorted out.
Thank you Tarah P. OSullivan, and the Drake Rayden Foundation for the donation of a HUGE amount of medical supplies for Parker after we lost all of ours in a house fire! We are so appreciative of your kindness and generosity!! - Lori writes after receiving the packages
This kind of caring is something we hope to expand the Drake Rayden Foundation to do more of in the near future. We have come to love and care for these families as we know the burden they carry, and we want to lift them up. We know first hand that knowing there are people carrying a burden with you, makes all the difference in the world. If you are at all interested in participating in this effort please check back on our website as we will update as needs arise.
As always we thank you for your support as we would not be able to do any of this without you.
To God be the Glory.
